This past week we installed a partial crawlspace/basement mitigation system. These types of mitigations require much more work but have added benefits. The client had high level of radon within their home, so that was why we were called out to help solve this problem. The process for a crawlspace includes installing a heavy grade vapor barrier sealed at all areas. This not only helps the mitigate the radon, but also helps control moisture that is very common throughout crawlspaces in our area. Once the crawlspace is encapsulated we proceed forward with a normal basement mitigation. The entire process takes much more time and work but the added crawlspace protection is a great benefit!
